Pineapple Crisp

Canned pineapple makes this versatile crisp dessert easy to make any time of year. Top this tropical dream with vanilla ice cream for even more richness!

Ingredients

  1. 2 (20 ounce) cans crushed pineapple, well drained
  2. 1 cup all-purpose flour
  3. 1 cup brown sugar
  4. 1 teaspoon baking powder
  5. ½ teaspoon salt
  6. 1 large egg
  7. ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  8. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Spread pineapple into a 9x9-inch square baking pan.
  3. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and egg together in a medium bowl until well combined and crumbly.
  4. Spoon mixture evenly over pineapple. Pour melted butter over mixture, then sprinkle with cinnamon.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven until top is lightly browned and filling is bubbly, 40 to 45 minutes.
  6. Serve hot or cold. Enjoy!
